Does it help acting ‘dead’ or zombie-like while in their midst? Are they easily fooled?

There are no scientific studies that we have located to support “acting dead” and how it will work. ZAC can offer this theory, however:
While clumbsy, zombies are still dangerous. Despite what Hollywood would have us believe, zombies are not fast moving. Acting dead would mean you would be slow moving, also, thus potentially placing you in a compromising position.
It is better to be safe than undead.

The suggestion that zombies can not swim isn’t entirely true. While they may not be capable of controlled swimming, an undead body swollen with gas from decomposition could float and allow the undead to traverse water. Also keep in mind that even if they are unable to float they still have no need to breath, so they may simply chase you along the bottom of the waterway, eventually coming to shore on the other side.
