I dont know about yous guys but just think about it. First day of infection, everyone tries to run right? the streets will be full and youll just be a meal in a tin can waiting on the road. For the first 3 weeks at least id be looking at staying in my room. id board 3/5 of the way down my bedroom door FRAME and 1/5 up. the Zombies would be applying pressure to the top half most likely as thats how tall most people are. the other 1/5 of the door can be used to chop zombie legs and shit or used to get supplies youve left in other rooms. Id have a machette, a torch, food, water, a radio, a map of the local area and some paper and a pencil. thats all id need for 3 weeks. Just keep a journal of what youve seen or heard on the radio so you can monitor what is happening in your area your area. Then make some plans up for what you will certainly need for long term survival. Food, water, whatever. Id use a bicycle for transport, silent, efficient and it keeps you fit at the same time. If i saw a zombie a distance away, id leave it. Dont risk getting urself exposed to the virus. And to chris who posted on 6 august 2009, zombie decomposition would be slowed down in a cold area and accelerated in a warm/hot one. And pree sure the zombie virus kills everything but humans??

would a metal bat do good?also,can u scare a zombie?like with a fake gun?i would grab some food,weapons, and clothes in my room then head for my grand parents room towards the door out the house and in the car,then towards big bear, i heard zombies die in snow,also importent dont go towards a hot place,like deserts,buzzards will eat zombies and become flying death,and most importent,alomost ENYTHING can become a zombie,a pet dog,a bird,a shark,ect,best idea is to head towards the snow,id head to big bear becuse its rly cold for a long time then gets hot agin so u can make the drive out of there

i think jordan knows what hes talking about, i’ve scene this for storms, and it can go up in a room as fast as boarding it up, i’m sorta lucky sorta unlucky in the area of defense, for i have a crawl space under my house, so the front half(my room) has its windows about 7 feet off the ground, so it’d take a zombie with some armstraength to get in, and allows some what easy escape,( not a hard jump to the steps to the right of my door, but i couldnt do that jump in reverse so it ought to be alright against Zs
now i know this sounds weird, but if you don’t have very much in your room, or at least not alot thats movable/usable, there are a few things that are usable that probably are over looked, using the mattress and bed frame to block the door, standing them upright, and then putting some heavy shit infront of it makes it pretty inaccessible(i used to put the mattress over the door to block my parents from coming in) it wont hold up for very long, but holding up until you figure out what the hell your going to do after getting the hell out of the z house

well see wouldnt some sort of mountain climbing (or in this case wall scaling) equipment be a good idea? like say you dont have an easily accessable lader and you KNOW you would be safe on top of your house….. id just grab my guns and ammo and scale my house to the roof….

This could certainly be added for those who have 2nd and 3rd level bedrooms. Perhaps even those who are in extended stay hotels. However, having one without any place to deploy it might make it useless, right?

Why isnt some sort of grapple hook on the important list? its all well and good being barricaded on the second story of a house, but its no use if you have to jump out a window and sprain/break your ankle.
the grapple hook could be nothing more than four pieces of bent metal welded together with a length of climbing rope attached. this allows you access to and from higher places, and has teh added bonus of the undead still thinking your in the room while you make your escape.

well the last thing i wouild do is go into my room and try to board it up i may live in a 2 storie house but well the zombies (if they know food is in there as in you do you think there going to take a break) well no they aren’t the only true advatege zombies have over use is never becoming tierd (and the will to get food) so normal ply wood isn’t going to hold for a year(because how long dose a human body take to decompase….a long time) so if you plan to stay in a room in your house it better have a kevlar door or such protection that nothing is going to get in like if you plan to use ply would don’t just use one layer use layer after layer after layer so they CAN’T get threw so if you don’t plan on doing that head for an attic that has a retractible stairway or a destroyable one (and the attic is a way on the roof)so ya think waiting it out let me tell you it takes a matter of years for a human body just for the brain to decompose (unpreserved) imnot saying its a bad place unless you know you have a fullproof escape plan if you go low on supplies

P.S.(Sorry for the nagitive comments on the subject anbout how its bad)
