I would fill my Yamaha WR250R to the top and take two petrol cans (gasoline in USA) on the small side pouches i have added on, i would take my camel pack + katana and travel to any overun army bases in search for firearms due to them being highly controlled in the UK.

Personally I believe the best way to travel, would be in a convoy. Much like on Resident Evil Apocalypse. But my personal favorite vehicle, and most realistic, is the GMC Pad concept. First of all it is possibly the most futuristic vehicle about to be put out. Its very good looking in futuristic way, but it also fit into the post z-day life very well. This is why...

The GMC PAD features a Diesel-Electric hybrid system, which acts as a generator for the onboard power grid as well as propulsion for DriveMode. With the PAD’s resource management technology, onboard fuel & water supplies would last for weeks or even months on end. During daylight hours, the PAD’s SkyDeck features 6 M-Sq of photovoltaic cells that collect and store the sun’s natural energy. An electromagnetic suspension aids in leveling & stabilization when the PAD is being used in the LifeMode as well as remarkably easy handling while in DriveMode.
As for the fuel the paragraph above reads, it talks a little about the power which is the, diesel-electric system, diesel is the way to go in the post z-day world, because it stores more energy because of larger amount of oil, and it requires less attention to the motor. Diesel engines are alot more virsatile when it comes to fuel because it can use vegteable oil and bio-diesel.

I would definatly be going with a bus. I live in Florida and am used to hurricanes so the house can be fully covered with metal hurricane shutters and we have a generator and a lot of extra gas tanks. After holing up in the house for a few days, I would drive to the bus storage where they keep all the city school buses and steal one with my friends and family. We would take it back to my house and keep it in the backyard (we have wide double gates and tall fencing). Start by removing the back half of the seats if not more. Load up the generator and spare gas, add the 2 refrigerators and the meat freezer. I would then load up all non perishable food and weapons as well as a charcoal grill. Weld bars onto the windows and take the bulldozing part of the neighbors bulldozer and weld that onto the front of the bus. Then before leaving I would mount all of the hurricane shutters on the buss providing light armor yet still strong enough to stop bullets. I would have also looted any neighbors house for non perishable food since we are always prepared for hurricanes, they each would have enough food to feed their household for a minimum of 2 weeks so the bus would be stocked with food. And since it my dream car I would eventually have solar panels on top of the bus, strong enough to store energy for night use. Thus a moving fortress. The car I actually own to use if I couldn't steal the bus would be my moms honda pilot, lots of storage space and it has enough towing ability to move vehicles out of the way.

i would have to say my dads GMC duelly with a big snow plow on the front of it you know like the ones that make a point out front of it i would make a cage for it in the back so i can put people in it with out them getting hurt i would cage up the cab like they do on the U S border patrol trucks it could hawl a fuck load like a horse trailer full of supplies
it can go 150 miles with out having to refuel and if i wanted to i could make the tank bigger for it taking away some space in the people cage

Still think a 4 wheeler atv with racks for storage and handlebar mounted rifle scabbard would be best- fast, light, towing capacity for a trailer, can be used to plow, great for swerving through clogged highways and streets, good on gas, great field of view, and a stable platform for shooting. SF uses them in afganistan with good results.

Vehicle would depend on the number of people I'm moving around with. For one a motorcycle would be best I think. However, since this is about a dream vehicle mine's a fire engine. Easy to obtain, easy to modify, dependable and large. They are everywhere, even remote rural areas have fire stations.

-RANGE: varies, but usually a few hundred miles. Convert the water tank for extra fuel and it becomes thousands.

-SPEED: most can do 80 without trouble, but you really don;t need to be going fast in the Zombie scenario.

-LOAD CAPACITY: varies widely, but usually somewhere between huge and enormous.

-ROAD CLEARING: Can push through most anything.

-GROUND CLEARANCE: usually decent but not super high.

-FUEL TYPE: Diesel

-ARMOR: Made of metal, wouldn't be worried about additional armor. If I found myself needed an armored vehicle I'd change, or if I had the resources handy bold on some armor.

As for what I drive now, and would be stuck with when the end came: It's a 1999 F-250 extended cab. Can easily carry my family and maybe a couple extra folks. It's lifted and has 36" tires so it can get around off road pretty well. It's a good survival vehicle vor a small group.

i Personaly would like a AT-AT its masive hight and firepower would make it perfect for serviving a outbrake. if and when it runs out of fule it would make a perfect base camp. But unfortunately these do not exist and there for i would settle for a SWAT Bulldog armord truck. beacus of it beaing a little more common than some of the other sugestions and its carrying copasity i think it would be ideal for anything from supply raids to transporting survivors.
