ZAC T.A.C.T. 2011?
Greetings Zombies are Coming fans! We were wanting to know who would be interested in attending ZAC T.A.C.T. 2011
After last year’s dismal failure, we don’t want to run full bore into producing another event, but we do want to know who would be interested in attending a smaller, less formal, social gathering that would include grilling, shooting, and some hand to hand tomfoolery.
We haven’t yet set a date or location because we wanted to get feedback from the community first. There are 2 possible locations that can be utilized, which we will take a vote on should there be sufficient interest.
The locations are:
Northern Alabama(Cullman Area)
Range conditions are primative as are the restrooms.
You will need to bring your own food and drinks.
You will have to sign an injury waiver.
Middle Tennessee(Murfreesboro Area/Angryvikingman’s house)
Range is well maintained but is a 30 minute drive, modern restrooms, shower, air conditioning, and wireless internet access. (for facebook, ect.)
If the event is held here there will be a small fee so that we can buy food for everyone. (Determined by how many people want to attend.)
You will have to sign an injury waiver.
Dates can be set up for the last 2 weekends in June, or any weekend in the month of July or August. (FYI August in TN and AL are hotter than hell.)
Vote by stating a location, and then a date that you would prefer. In one week we’ll see what interest we have and dates we can arrange. If you would like to come and have voted, then please email angryvikingman@yahoo.com for info on the dates, times, fees, ect.

I’d be hesitant to spend any money on another one of these Viking. You got screwed last year. I think most of the posters here are about 14 so they probably can’t come even if they vote yes.
I’m out. My weekends are mostly full of competitions in the summer.

I don’t care if it ends up being me and 2 other people. Like I said, last year I bought everything, this year they’re bringing everything. The only thing I’d be providing is a place for the event, and the only money I’d be spending is on my own gas and ammo. Also, this isn’t for the fly by night posters, but for people who post regularly, or are an admin. Only names I recognize as continuous posters would be invited. So people who don’t post often, their comments would most likely be deleted and votes not counted.

We spend the first afternoon/night hanging out and socializing, then we get up early saturday morning and do some hand to hand demos, weapons demos, then eat lunch and we get in the car and go to the range to do some shooting. The ranges are covered. :) Then we come back and do some more survival demos and have dinner. After that we can BS as late as we want, and come sunday we can do some more training until everyone has to get going(probably noon) pack and leave. No real structure to it due to the fact that if people think that they’re gonna drive 4-8 hrs just to let some fat guy drill them like boot camp, they won’t come.
So its gonna be more fun and informal. BYOB if you’re over 21. I have no problem with people drinking as long as they act right. Get rowdy and get tossed.

Well like I said, if its just a couple of us, so much the better. Easier to get to know each other and it also makes it easier to share knowledge and experience with a smaller group.
And so far we have 3 people interested. (besides myself) So right now the vote stands at 2 to 1 in favor of TN. (Not counting me.)

I don’t post hardly at all on here, I tend to mostly just troll around, reading things and learning. I feel like I don’t usually have much to contribute. I would be interested in this if I were able to come. Either location would be okay by me, however my proximity is the only factor that might make the Alabama site preferable.

just wondering something, When this goes down and we are surviving are we going to use this website to coordinate some sort of meeting to restore civilization since, obviously, we will have quite some time before technology stops working completely.

That would work. We need to set rendezvous points for 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 5 years, etc.
At first, I’ll use my clearance to various bases and government buildings to loot, load up an SUV, and share the loot with a trusted group.

I dont know about you guys but I have a freind who is a pilot. after the apocalypse happens we meet up and fly to an island in the carribbean, live out the rest of the apocalypse in luxury.

Ohh… good idea. I actually know guys in an AC-130 flight crew, a V-22 pilot and several recreational flyers. One guy in my squad whose family owns a 12-passenger Cessna, and he can fly it. When SHTF, these are the guys I can trust.

good to hear you’ve got a layal group. Me and my friends already have our plan in which we can get out of a heavily populated area, meet up and head south in a plane before things get too hot. Backup plan, hold out and wait while keeping in constant communication with them.

Well, considering we’re not an organization, we don’t recruit, and we don’t have chapters. If you want to start a group of your own, then by all means do so, just please don’t use the ZAC name.
